  • Amelia T

    Production Manager/ Resident Artist

    Amelia is an award winning theater practitioner who has been wearing many “hats” all over Austin since 2008. She is an actor, visual artist, yoga teacher, and movement artist. She is a company member of Vortex Rep, En Route Productions, Circus Picnic, and The Hidden Room Theater. She worked as Production Manager for En Route Productions off and on since 2015. She is thrilled to be working as the Production Manager for Shakti Moves as the company continues to grow and evolve. She is deeply enamored with the mission of Shakti and is honored to be a part of such an inspiring dance company. Amelia is grateful to Erica Santiago for supporting and encouraging her as an artist.

  • Crea T

    Rehearsal Director/Social Media Team Coordinator

    Crea Thompson is the rehearsal director of Shakti Moves Dance Company. As one of the company’s founding members, she has been with SMDC for seven seasons and is excited to continue building art and connection through dance. Crea will be leading the social media team comprised of Shakti Movers Abby Staller and Riah Smith. In addition to dancing, Crea is a pianist, and has been a singer in a number of choirs. Crea loves spending time with her beautiful daughter, window shopping and people watching, and propagating small desert plants. She is eternally grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the SMDC family, not just for the dance but for the loving community that Erica has built so beautifully.

     

  • Cassanrda D

    Resident Artist

    Cassandra is an actress and artist (& self- proclaimed yogi) working in Austin, TX. Since moving to the city in 2019, she has been navigating the creative and independent theater scenes. Working with companies like Bottle Alley Theater, SkyDome Stage Company, Cheerful Secrets and Different Stages. Last year, Cassandra co-founded a woman run record label where she organizes the events for her artist friends- It's this passion for art, the stage and community that has led Cassandra straight to Shakti Moves where she premiered Four a bilingual spoken word and dance piece in 2024. Cassandra will Facilitate the open Mic nights for the SMDC community as well as take on another round of art making in 2025.
